Set in Portland, Oregon in 2003, this semi-autobiographical novella is about the hallucinatory power of love, and its unpredictable nature. It captures the honesty of youth, its urgency and vulnerability.

The citizens of the forest are entranced by strange cubes. Apple, Bird and Violet manage to break the trance and embark on a journey to try and find the master cube, which may bring the citizens back to consciousness.
